Audit and Compliance Manager (Internal)

We are excited to announce that we are looking to recruit an Internal Audit and Compliance Manager with excellent attention to detail, organisational and interpersonal skills

What you’ll be doing:

• Develop a company audit manual covering key risk areas.
• Conduct internal audits across store and office operations, producing clear reports and recommendations.
• Review internal controls, financial reporting processes and business procedures to assess efficiency and compliance.
• Investigate and follow up on cash discrepancies and EFT variances above agreed tolerance levels.
• Provide retraining and escalate non-adherence to company policies where necessary.
• Support the Finance Manager in day-to-day running of the Accounts department.
• Help protect the organisation from financial and reputational risk through proactive monitoring and auditing.
• Build positive relationships with store teams to embed a culture of compliance and integrity.
• Analyse audit findings and work collaboratively with stakeholders to implement effective corrective actions.
• Provide senior management with clear, evidence-based recommendations to improve internal processes.
• Drive a culture of continuous improvement by challenging current practices and seeking efficiencies.

What we’re looking for:

• Minimum 3 years’ experience in an Internal Audit and Compliance role.
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
• Attention to detail and a methodical, analytical approach.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Strong knowledge of internal controls and basic bookkeeping.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel) and accounting systems.
• Proven ability to manage confidential and sensitive information.
• A flexible and adaptable mindset, with a willingness to embrace change.
• Full UK driving licence is essential.
